Operation Haiti: search, organise and help until needed. The group has spent a week in Port-au-Prince, the capital of the earthquake stricken country. They treated the wounded people on the airfield in the first two days. Then they joined their hands with the German, English and Taiwanese team and erected a field hospital in the city. There were 50 medical people there, treating those who has not received medical help since the earthquake.

They used them to transport to the UN hospital those people who needed to have an operation. There is a great need for further help in the caribian country, that is why our medical team is going back to Haiti next Thursday on the 28th of January. Besides the medical help, they plan to bring additional aid packs packed according to their experience. They have told us, that the problem of water and food supplies of the population is going to be solved soon, so it seems to them that the most urgent issue to be tackled is to provide proper health care, water and food for the infants and babies. Thanks to the benevolence of our supporters, our second team will be able to deliver infant nutrition, diapers, medicine for children and other items needed for the treatment of infants living on the earthquake stricken area. We are still collecting donations for the second medical team, who plans to stay in Haiti for a week.
